We are looking for a Kids Pastor or Director

Authentic Church, a young and vibrant congregation born during the pandemic, is now officially three years old. We are a multicultural and multigenerational community passionate about reaching people from all walks of life. Authentic Church is a supportive environment and we care about our team and are committed to treating you well. At Authentic, emotional and spiritual health matters—from kids to teenagers, adults, and our staff. We believe in a healthy church!
Position: Kid's Pastor (AG credentials required) or Kid's Director (pursuing AG credentials)
Type: Part-Time (with potential to grow into a full-time role)
Location: Meets weekly in a local high school (setup and teardown required)
We are looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about Jesus and children. The ideal candidate will be teachable, have a strong work ethic, demonstrate good integrity, and be a team player. As part of our growing church, we need someone who can step into this role with humility and enthusiasm, ready to contribute to our mission of serving kids and their families.
Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the elementary-age kids’ ministry (currently 15-25 kids each Sunday).
Prepare lessons and plan for weekly Sunday services.
Coordinate setup and teardown of the kids’ ministry area each week.
Oversee volunteer schedule
Conduct follow-up with families and children as needed.
Plan and execute occasional kids' social events to foster connection and community.
Attend a weekly staff meeting (schedule permitting).
Perform other duties to ensure the kids’ ministry thrives and is aligned with church goals.
Requirements:
A heart for ministry and a genuine love for children.
AG pastoral credentials for Pastor role
Actively pursuing AG credentials for the Director Role
Ability to lead with humility and a willingness to learn.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in preparing lessons and events.
Willingness to be a team player, supporting church-wide efforts.
Flexibility to meet the unique challenges of a mobile church (setup and teardown).
